  • Ability Jobs – Job board specifically for those with disabilities and promotes employers who make it a point to hire those with disabilities. This site also runs accessible virtual job fairs with a wide range of employers.
  • American Council for the Blind Job Connection – Job board with job openings curated by the American Council for the Blind.
  • Ask Jan – One-stop shop for questions about workplace accommodations, rehabilitation acts, starting a small business as a person with a disability, and information on accessible technologies. This information can be useful as a current employee as well as for job seekers.
  • The Arc – Nonprofit dedicated to assisting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

  • Lighthouse Louisiana – Work-force development, independent living and visual rehabilitation services  for people who are blind or visually impaired, people who are hard of hearing and Deaf, and individuals with other disabilities.
  • National Institute for the Blind – The nation’s largest employment resource for people who are blind.
  • Serve Louisiana – Nonprofit organization that employs youths, senior citizens, and the disabled to complete community projects. Provides a stipend for living expenses.

  • Volunteers of America – Intellectual & Developmental Disability Services  – Provides pre-vocational services to individuals with developmental disabilities or other disabilities which might impair daily living functions. A program of the Volunteers of America Greater Baton Rouge.
